Environmental pledge
At Blustery Day Design, sustainability makes sense. This is why we offer recycled paper options, maximize our use of paper, and are always looking for new and creative ways to use (and reuse) materials.
In a broader sense, we are aware of how our actions impact the earth and try to make energy-efficient choices in all terms of our business, not just the final product. We at Blustery Day Design see environmental awareness not as a trend but as a way of running our company – from using both sides of a piece of paper before recycling it to saving scraps of cardstock and reworking them into sets of notecards, we think ecologically on a day-to-day basis.
We also know the value of being active members in our community. Not only does purchasing from local suppliers strengthen our regional economies and build relationships, it also saves valuable fuel that would otherwise have been used to ship materials all over the country. It just makes sense.
What does this mean for you?
Our commitment to the environment means that, without sacrificing good design or cost-effectiveness, Blustery Day Design can work with you to create a final product that even the earth can be proud of.
Wind-powered website
In the internet-centered world, people often forget how much energy web servers can use. We're proud that our website here at blusterydaydesign.com is 100% powered by windpower.
Design Can Change: designing for sustainability
All three of us (Jessica, Vanessa & Christina) have taken the Design Can Change pledge to design with sustainability in mind. Design Can Change is a group of graphic designers all over the world who are committed to making system-wide change to how our field of work affects the planet. For more info, read our blog post about it!
