What the Sisters of Providence needed

The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods are a congregation of Catholic nuns in Indiana who get a lot of visitors to their motherhouse campus (which is shared by some of their ministries, including Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and White Violet Center for Eco-Justice). Over the years, the Sisters had ended up with a number of maps, all different in style and purpose, and they wanted something more clear and comprehensive.

Our solutions

We drew this custom map with just the right amount of information, taking extra care to make it clear, welcoming and usable. Visitors and pilgrims to the Sisters’ campus can easily find the locations they need, from the church to the alpaca barn. A corresponding map for the White Violet Center walking tour uses the same clean map design and pulls in elements of the walking tour signs we’d designed for them previously. Both pieces utilize the Sisters of Providence branding elements for a cohesive final product.

The main grounds map is two-sided, one with locations listed alphabetically and the other listed numerically.
