About the organization

Asbury Towers is non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community in Greencastle, Indiana. They offer a lifestyle with independence as well as skilled care when needed, with services that include rehab programs, skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living. In particular, they needed a website that would allow them to reach potential residents and their families in a welcoming, informational way.

Project to-do list

Redesign their outdated, hard-to-use website to be more visually appealing and viewable on all device widths
Strategize their organization’s web presence and define content needs
Create a professional website that will represent the community and its services in an accurate, friendly manner
Encourage site visitors to schedule a visit to Asbury Towers and give them a clear, immediate way to reach out
Enable user-friendly on-site donations and donor management
Provide current residents and families with easy access to important community information such as dining service menus, event calendars, and publications

The final website showcases the extended palette, scrapbook-style photos, and plenty of helpful information.

Project results

Friendly & informative

Visually, we started with their black, red & white logo and built up a calm, welcoming brand extension and visual site design that worked well with it. This included super-legible typefaces and a color palette that is soothing without feeling boring. Then we built a well-organized site architecture within the WordPress framework, where staff can easily update content and make changes themselves.

An online form in the footer of every page gives site visitors an instant way to reach out and schedule a tour of the facility. And we set up an event calendar for them, as well as an on-site donation platform that allows the Asbury Towers development team to collect online payments and manage administrative tasks with ease. The final result is a perfect way to reach out to and inspire current & future residents.
